Before today's post, here's a video I found on youtube, I thought it's pretty neat:
Sigh.....another Sundy spent doing nothing, the only interesting thing was trying to make Red & Cola because I really had nothing to do and decided to open a bottle of Johnnie Walker. I'm not a drinker and don't handle alcohol well lol, I just eyeballed the ratio of the two and mixed them together, taste not bad, but my face is sure red as hell! Gonna cook dinner soon, should have done some shopping but too lazy to go out in the rain, so just defrosted a whole bunch of stuff from the freezer, donno why, but I have been quite lazy recently, altho I blamed the stress at work, but who knows, maybe I need a change in my life afterall.....
I have been revisiting the idea of going to another country for a couple of years, but I guess it's hard to give up the steady income and trying to establish in a completely new setting. Also there's work, it seems like a lot of things are either directly or indirectly looked after by me, donno how I can ever hand them over to whoever that will take over my job should I decide to leave, it's all too complicated and it's annoying the hell out of me! I think I WILL eventually do it, but the question is WHEN? If I want to do the working holiday thing in UK, I need to act pretty soon coz it's only available for people under 31 years old, and I don't want to wait until I'm 30 to go. Afterall, we should try to see the world and experiment while we still young, right?
The (hopefully) interesting life, thoughts and experiences of your neighbourhood gay guy.

When celebrity gone "bad"
For those of you who are in Australia, you would have heard the news, Olympian swimmers Eamon Sullivan and Stephanie Rice appeared in Myer promoting Davenport and signing autographs for fans. One particular die hard fan, Jade Gunn, after queueing for 2.5 hours, was told by Stephanie that they only sign Davenport items, by the time she grabbed some Davenport undies and rejoined the queue, organiser had already set a cut-off point in front of her. She was left in tears afterwards etc etc. Also some other fans were told that Eamon and Steph will only sign certain items ie. something purchased from the sponsor's range, this shocked and upset many eager fans whom flooded Myer to meet their stars. Many people had then bagged Rice and Sullivan for being "insensitive" and "snobby".
Now, let's examine this in detail:
Ms. Gunn was supposed to attend work-for-the-dole job training, which she skipped at the risk of losing her benefits; she had also spent over $300 on airfare to Sydney to meet returning Olympians when they returned home but again missed Sullivan and Rice. Firstly, we all know that Olympians will tour most major cities after big games, secondly, correct me if I'm wrong, athletes do not get paid by being athletes, they get paid by commercial sponsorships; finally, commercial sponsorships are sometimes enforced by contracts which are excisable under the power of law.
While being unemployed, Ms. Gunn spent tax payer's dollars to go to Sydney to greet the athletes home, I'll give her the credit for supporting our Olympics team, however I don't see the rationale behind that when soon after, the atheletes will tour the country?? Also to skip work for the dole job training for personal pleasure, somehow that does not earn much sympathy points from me. Sponsors pay big money to celebrities who endorse their products, so it comes at no suprise that they would want returns on their investments. Although Davenport in this case had done horribly with their PR, but it makes sense to think that they would want you to buy their products if you want to meet the celebrities whom they have paid to attend the event.
Personally I'm not that much of a sports fan, and I don't understand people who WORSHIP their idols, let them be movie stars, singers, atheles. All those "stars" are working, just like every one of us, if they want to earn an income, they need to be bound by rules of their employer, again, like all of us. I don't believe it was the pair's intention to upset any one of their fans, that will be stupid; but, they are in contractual relationship with Davenport, and they should and need to avoid any action to breach their contract terms, which might include, only sign Davenport items. Ms. Gunn needs to get over herself and start to focus on getting a job! While I believe Davenport's PR department needs some serious help, I don't think the two athletes should be treated like some evil dream destroyers, it's not fair.
You guys out there are more than welcome to share your opinions and thoughts on this one!

I guess you'd need to compliment it with hot fudge? lol Oh, and if any of you out there have some serious money to throw away, you can purchase a SOLID SILVER version of this chocolate so you can show off your silver a$$hole to impress your friends and families......

Monday
This blog is doing better than I thought (for myself), pretty sure not much of others are really interested or even paying attention here lol. I was looking forward to come home and update my blog!
I've gotta have a whinge here, on my way to home this evening, got hassled by one of those bogany, drugged up looking windscreen washer. Fine, if you want to make a living cleaning other people's wind screen, I have total respect for ANYONE who WORKS to support themselves, but don't bloody smear half of my windscreen with foams and not even cleaning it up properly! For F*#&$ sake, I didn't ask him to clean my windscreen and he screwed it up anyways! He even asked "one dollar" and I just gave him 50c and told him it was all I had, he was lucky to get it, if I'm not driving my company car I'd just ignore him and tell him to get lost! They are just some lazy assholes hassling people for money!
I'd so want to do this, with a flamethrower!!!!
Although work wasn't that bad, because I do deal with nice people a lot, very funny to talk to them, makes you feel more laid back when they start the phonecall with "hey bitch!" hahaha. It's all good, since working is stressful and tiring, might as well make it as fun and intersting as possible eh?
About all for now I think, if I remember more I will add in later....

Pilot - First entry
Ok, first blog entry, what to say? Hmmm, well I haven't really done blogging before, one main reason's because I have problems being consistent with things, especially things like updating blog entries often. But maybe start to do something like this will create a good habit for myself so I could use this in my job (ie. keep updating schedules etc which I have been conveniently passing off to my fellow colleagues), also I could just have a random rant on things I hated/liked during my boring life........
Suppose I need to do some self introduction eh? Hmmm well I moved to Melbourne, Australia from Asia over 10 years ago, studied here, went to uni, got a job, oh yeah, I'm also gay. My life had been relatively smooth, successful in school/university, in a reasonably good job, couple of good friends. Being gay hasn't really affected my life that much, seems natural enough for me, not sure about others, but hey, I live my life the way I like/comfortable with.
Not sure where am I going with this, but I'll try to keep this thing updated as often as possible, so in case if any of you out there whose got some serious time to waste can have a read lol.
I'm currently exploring my options to make some decisions for myself, it's hard when you are in a relatively comfortable, stable job and thinking about making changes to your life. Although I want to do so many different things, always seems difficult to start and to give up the stable environment I'm in now. Guess I will just keep adding pros and cons as I go along then.
So yah, that's about it for now, if ANYONE is actually reading this, feel free to leave your comments, otherwise, take care.
