Stupid phone systems

Seems like my waiting to get sick plan did not turn out the way I hoped, so I'm back at work today.

During my lunch (ahem) time, I tried to access my personal email. After 5 attempts, it seems like somehow my password was not working (altho I suspect they cut the brakeline on my keyboard), so I've decided to call the ISP to have this sorted out.

It took a good 5-10 minutes for the huge menu of various phone numbers of each department to load, and you have to browse through so many tabs you think every single employee in the company has their direct line published!

Found the number I need, beauty, here we go......"Hello, to help us service you better, in a few words, please tell me the reason for your call today..." DAMN automated voice system! Why the F*#& would you list 200 phone numbers for different "departments" when all of them will go to the same fricken auto system???? Wouldn't it be making sense to list a single customer service number? Then there's the typical crap:

"cable internet"
"you have an internet related inquiry, is that correct?"
"yes"
"is that dial up, dsl, or cable"
"cable, and i told you that 1 second ago!"
"ok, do you want to speak to technical, accounts..."
"technical"
"is the internet registered at the phone you calling from"
"No"
"please enter your home phone number"
"....F*#&$ YOU!!!"
"I'm sorry, your entry was not valid, please key in your telephone number..."

I was about to put my fist through the phone....it took me another 5 minutes or so to reach a human to simply change my password.

Those companies are seriously screwed up somewhere I tell ya

Another Sunday

Sleepy yet don't want to sleep........

Had lunch at a nice little cafe with a friend today, half way through our meal (which was nice), two guys sat next to me and I could be 95% sure that they were a gay coupe; so I just "casually" looked over every 5 seconds, both of them were good to look at hehe, that made my lunch extra enjoyable.

After I got home, didn't really do much, played a bit of PS3, even tried vocal on Guitar Hero, it was a pretty horrible sight (and sound) to be honest. I really feel sorry for my neighbours if they heard anything by accident, which I don't think they did god bless them.

Pretty much didn't do much more than that, now it's passed mid night and I really hope I'll be hit by some illness where I cannot go to work and have to rest for a few days......

Perving

OK, let's face it, we all do it, to different extends.

While I was giving my friend a lift home, we virtually spent the entire trip perving at guys we saw in the streets and commenting. P.S. not a very good idea in peak hour traffic to keep staring away from the direction you are traveling.

Well for me, I love to look at all the fine looking gents in the streets. Of coz not the psycho stalker stare......or is it? Guess that's another post....

When think about it, I perv at pretty much all the guys I see in streets. The ones that catches my eyes the most are the businessmen in suits that's neat and tidy, or the construction guys working around the block; also the policemen etc. Altho yesterday we were focusing on the guys jogging by the roadside, looking really good lol. My friend even said "wow that's really big, wonder if they just fly commando??"

About the body parts, i always look at calves and forearms, then virtually undress them with my eyes LOL. I found eyebrow quite a sexy feature too.

Let's share about all the pervs we do daily eh?

Things I'm proud of

While I thought I had nothing to write about for "second installment", Jack reminded me that he had tagged me in his blog, what a relief, no more thinking required......

However the topic is very challenging (same goes for asking for directions and admit I could be wrong and attempt to clean and tidy my room for more than once a decade), but here it goes my list of things I'm proud of:

1) My brain

Although seems like I'm shamelessly copying Jack here, but truth is, my intelligence is something that I RARELY bitch about. (I pretty much bitch about everything else). I'm able to learn quite quickly, normally with very few explanations. Since I started working and by comparison to many people I dealt with, my analytical and problem solving skills helped me a lot, and I was able to improve them too. (and also realised that many people are seriously lacking them) I'm able to help others both in life and at work with their problems, which I'm proud of too.

2) My cooking skill

I was exposed to home cooking since a VERY early age, and I can vaguely remember my first time cooking would have been before I was 10 years old, making scrambled eggs. My grandma was a good cook, and I used to "help" her by carrying her bags while she shopped for vegetables and groceries, and hang around the kitchen while she prepare and cook, and I guess that has influenced me a lot. Another reason being I LOVE food, wanting to try new, different ones, and everytime I taste something good, I will attempt to make it at home, if I succeed, I'd add it to my repertoire and possibly show off to my friends; if not, I'll secretly discard and remove all evidence of attempts. From all these years of practice, my cooking has been applauded by most of my friends, had friends over the other day, they actually took the leftovers home!

3) My wicked sense of humor

I think I need to rebute myself on this one a bit, because I actually don't think my sense of humor is that great. However I am able to make people laugh in a very twisted weird way lol. Guess again might have a lot to do with my work, which I always try to have a bit of fun on the phone, (not THOSE kind, altho I was sort of waiting for it to happen lol) just bitch and making fun of things happened or slip in random comments that's totally not related to the current discussion at all. I think that's how I survive my work anyway......

4) My parents

Sound like a cliche, but I am truly proud of my parents. Apart from brought the brilliant me into the world (ROFLMAO), they are seriously outstanding people. Mom was one of the most understanding and tolerating person I've known, always think from other's perspective and put herself last, willing to help and give, understanding. As before we move here, back home we lived in apartment complexes built by huge production plants funded by the government, where everyone worked in the same plant, then their children and grandchildren etc, you can imagine the level and type of gossip going on, she was known for the kind person she was, and during the 15 years or so I grew up there, never gossipped about anyone in front of me, and for as long as I could remember, never had a fight with her mother in law, my grandma. Dad's very straightforward person, sometimes could be a bit short fused, but he is a very good provider, almost working all year round, providing for the family, NEVER spent anything beyond necessities for himself. His famous motto is "Might as well at it (hardworking to make money) while I physically can, for we could be more comfortable while we cannot work"

Wheee, another entry, doing good!

I'm preparing for my next round of bitching, stay tuned

Random Update - First Installment

Just feel like to drop down some random stuff about what happened during my too-lazy-to-post period:

1) I got a PS3!
Wheee.......I have NEVER had the urge to purchase any game console since high school really. Mainly I know I'd prob be too occupied to play to focus on other things (I already spent too much time on computer). Before Christmas last year I've started to look at LCD TV's, then somehow decided that I must get a PS3 to go with it, and to top it up, the guitar hero world tour band game! Boy they are fun!!!! Already had friends over and played until our brains and eyes blacked out from staring at the screen LOL. (somehow I can see Jack going "tsk tsk tsk" while shaking his head)

Back (yet again)

Whew!

Back from my family holiday for a week now, managed to squeeze myself into the "normal" working mood; in other words, complaining and bitching about almost everything under the sun mood lol.

Speaking of the holiday, it wasn't so much of a holiday really, just family get togethers, and I did had my birthday during this trip....and honestly, on the day of my birthday, I seriously thought I was 1 year younger than my actual age!! LOL how sad was that!

I also need to apologize for the ppl that's been visiting coz I haven't been updating this blog as often. But promise, I have thought about a few things I want to write about and they will be up soon.

So tired, going to sleep now.....zzzzzzzzzzz
